Whistling To Work This Morning

Image

Woof-whistling men are an ancient and exhausted story, very immature. They tend to add an unnecessary cluster to the already busy street and walking to work this very morning a very decent looking man with a briefcase did exactly that. I looked at him in amazement and all I could say to his proud-of-himself-grin was … “Really?” He nodded and walked off, both of us laughing.

An ego boaster perhaps, but gentlemen watch out, if ‘she’ is having a bad day you my friend are the target of very ugly words as she is giving it back. You ain’t boasting her ego.

Having started a fresh career, I’m in a completely new working environment. To be honest everything is different compared to teaching. From screaming children and lesson plans, to an office based desk job surrounded by adults and professionals I feel more grown-up. God forbid I ever feel old but god forbid I ever feel immature too.

My cute little job, is in a construction company and is one where I translate emails and documents from one language to another. I’m writing so I’m happy.

Anyway, now its time to test dynamics of the adult working world to see what kind of ancient and/or immature things they will do to remind me of my teaching days. I’ll keep you posted.
